About ISH

We are a caring school that is inclusive and truly diverse. There are over forty nationalities within our community. ISH serves diplomatic families, mobile expatriate families and local families who are seeking an open-minded and creative education. We pride ourselves on nurturing global citizens who are ready to be successful in our changing world. ISH graduates go on to earn places at some of the most prestigious universities all around the world.

Our learning programme is based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) system of education. This has an excellent reputation around the world as a rigorous and holistic programme. Our educational philosophy supports inquiry-based, student-centred learning. We want to empower our students, first by providing a safe, friendly learning environment and then by building their self-advocacy and sense of being independent, active learners.

We offer a vibrant and varied after After School Activities programme, including sports, arts and music clubs. Students regularly go on field and cultural trips that extend their learning outside the classroom. Upper School students have the opportunity to travel and compete in sports and academic tournaments in the Central East European Schools Association (CEESA).

ISH has an excellent technology programme that is integrated with our curriculum. The Lower School students use iPads and laptops to enhance their learning. Our Upper School students each have a laptop and learn to collaborate with their peers and teachers online.
